After taking over the fruit growing family farm that had been in effect for many generations, Frank Nickenig and Bärbel Birkenbeil decided to diversify their business using their homegrown fruits. A little later, the idea to start a distillery was born. They came across Mueller and Frank deeply fell in love with our AROMAT still. Since then, they have been able to expand their product shelf from just homemade apple juice and delicious fresh fruit to numerous brandies made exclusively from their own mash. For a couple of years now, they have had even more products on offer, from different GINs to an absinthe and many other specialties such as Manna's Brachial Tonic. Additionally, they offer an in-house spirit made of Ayurvedic tea refined with eleven other Asian herbs and spices - an absolute treat! This great success is a backed by numerous awards that "Manna" wins year after year with its products. Today, Birkenbeil distillery has secured themselves a stable place as one of the top ten distilleries in the Koblenz / Trier region.
