The Distillery

Procera is the result of a love for Africa.
Guy Brennan, born in Australia, originally worked as a banker and his job was to provide micro-credits for African people. First in Congo, then in Uganda and finally in Kenya where he met his American wife. One evening he was sitting on the terrace with friends enjoying a glass of gin, where they realized that most ingredients are actually grown in Africa. Guy asked “why are we sending all these botanicals to London for some guys to distil it, to put it in this bottle, to send it back here for us to drink. Why don’t we make a gin?”. So he decided to stay on the subject and found Roger Jorgensen a well-known distiller in South Africa. Together with him, they developed the recipe based on, African juniper (juniperus procera), Somali acacia honey, cardamom, mace from Zanzibar, some other secret botanicals and the neutral spirit from Kenyan sugar cane. After some maceration overnight, all this was then being distilled in a MÜLLER AROMAT 230. The Procera Gin, which can be recognized by the mouth-blown bottle with the blue dot, has already won several international awards and is characterized by its fresh and complex aroma. This gin is preferably enjoyed pure.

Customer Review

"Before we bought a Muller Still we researched and engaged all of the well-known Pot Still Manufactures worldwide. We chose working with Muller family as they truly understood what we needed as a craft distillery and helped talk us through the complexities of the business. They didn't try to sell us more than we needed in fact it was the opposite and we have ended up with the perfect size still for our ambitions. They treated us as if we were a large company and we really felt the family touch down to Mrs Mullers lovely home cooked meal when we visited their factory. It was an honor for us to have Bernd Muller and his Son come to Africa for the first time to install our 230l AROMAT Still personally. It was a brilliant week. We would advise everyone that there is only one option for any Craft Distillery looking for a Pot Still manufacturing partner and that's the Müller Family." - Guy Brennan
