The former skilled trade “copper smith” used to be responsible for the manufacturing of copper containers and decor articles, as well as for the layout of copper on roofs.
Today, this skilled trade is called tank and plant manufacturer and combines traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods.
Because of its variety and high technical expectations, it is a sought-after occupation for the production of brewery and distillation units and for the manufacturing of containers for pharmaceutical as well as biotech sectors.
In our business, production planning and manufacturing work closely together as one team. This is how new ideas, developments, patents and production processes constantly develop at Müller. During the apprenticeship in our business, you follow the manufacturing process with raw copper plates from the beginning until the final product is made, the distillation unit.

Your scope of on-the-job activities at Müller:
- Forming of copper, steel and stainless steel sheets
- Welding with a variety of materials using WIG and MAG- welders
- Surface treatments, for a perfect and flawless final product
- Soft- and hard soldering
- Manufacturing of piping and tubing
- Installations domestically and internationally

Your qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher
- Interest in technology and metal working
- Enthusiastic about independent and project based working conditions
- Team spirit and communication skills
- Flexibility and self starter mentality
- Good English and German skills would be an asset
